Was not sure if I would like this story. It turned out better than I expected. James and Aubrey had a one night stand a year ago. She has never forgotten him, has he forgotten her? Although, that was a major aspect of this story it was not the deciding factor to me. What sold me on this story is that both James and Aubrey are trying to do the right thing to atone for their actions in the past. If they just happen to fall in love in the process, so be it. Enjoyable story, I received an ARC of The Billionaire's Bid by: Kaira Rouda for an honest review. It was worth the read.

Any one that follows my reviews know that I love a strong and fearless female character. Darcy Burke delivered that with Catriona. Never afraid to speak her mind and go after what she wanted, definitely not a damsel in distress. Elijah is one of those stoic characters who doesn't trust very easily yet is drawn to this enigma of a woman. He knows more is going on and wants answers. The Widow Wager (The Notorious Flynns, #3) by Jess Michaels

The Notorious Flynn series third installment is a welcome edition to the fold. The Widow Wager by Jess Michaels is in my opinion the best book in the series so far. The main characters Crispin and Gemma have taken on the weight of life and feel responsible for things that have happened and could not be changed. When they meet at the lowest point in their lives, each intrigues the other. The situation goes from bad to worst when Crispin and Gemma are forced into marriage due to a drunken bet Crispin made. Of course this is a Jess Michaels novel, so it is a very sensual read. Yet I found the deeper depth of two people hurting and finding love and redemption is the most unlikely place a lovely story. I would definitely recommend this book. A beautiful story of two broken souls that found salvation in each others arms. Received An ARC of The Widow Wager for an honest review.

Beauty and the Rake is a beautiful spin on an intriguing story. Two battered souls,finding in each other what they never knew was missing in themselves. My heart broke at how desperate Abigail had to be to do what she did. Erica Monroe had me rapt until the very end. As always the story brings home the point to never judge a book by its beautiful cover. For even the most beautiful things are not always what they seem. Received this book for an honest review. Emma and Dean were each others first love. They expected to be together forever but eleven years and two broken hearts later and we find that not to be true. Dean left Emma behind for reasons beyond his control. Yet he never forgot her and seeing her years later makes him sure that he will do whatever it takes to get her back. But will Emma be receptive. I received this book for an honest review. This story was a hot and steamy read but proved to be about so much more. Definitely worth reading.
